With over 15 years’ experience in accountancy, and having been a partner since 2006, Tony’s worked on numerous acquisitions, mergers and disposals, making him quite the due diligence expert. Tony regularly produces business plans for medium- and long-term strategic business growth and advises clients on raising financing. He’s a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and Audit and Assurance Faculty.
Phil’s career started with the Inland Revenue, and he’s been a taxation expert ever since. With over 30 years’ experience, other practices use him as a consultant. Phil’s covered everything from company reconstructions, disposals and acquisitions, to Inheritance and Capital Gains Tax planning. He’s Treasurer and former Chairman of The Chartered Institute of Taxation for Mid Anglia, is on the Working Together committee (a partnership between HMRC and several professional bodies), and has written articles/lectured on taxation. Peter’s our Chartered Certified Accountant who works with small, medium and owner-managed businesses to help them achieve their company and personal goals, while making sure their statutory requirements are met.
James is home-grown; he joined us as a trainee and is now a fully qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He’s always out and about seeing clients and helping them with their management accounts, VAT returns and year-end accounts.
Raj’s career has ranged from accounting and management roles, to professional accountancy practice. His scope is wide; he’s worked on SMEs and PLCs, providing services including group accounting and audit. He has a particular knack for working on solicitors' firms.
Neil’s degree in Business Finance and Economics makes him a great all-rounder; his experience spans audit, VAT, tax and general accountancy. Most of his time is spent doing year-end accounts and VAT returns from our Chatteris branch.
With her ‘Big 4’ background, Emma’s an asset we are very proud of; she offers high-quality, technical taxation advice to our clients combined with excellent professionalism. She’s a Chartered Accountant and Tax Advisor, plus she acts as a trustee and treasurer for the Caresco charity in Sawtry.
Ross – who qualified with the Association of Chartered Certified Accounts – balances managing our Chatteris office with taking on client-facing work including management accounts, year ends, VAT assistance, accounting software troubleshooting and business financial forecasting.
Mark has more than 25 years’ experience and is professionally qualified with a Diploma in Payroll and Pensions Management. He enjoys the challenge of payroll in ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time.
Courtney joined the Thomas Quinn team as a trainee accountant in August 2016 and is currently studying towards her Association of Chartered Accountants qualification. Her day-to-day role involves accounts preparation, management accounts and assisting the audit team.
Brian was self-employed with his own practice in Chatteris from 1986 to 2008, before the firm amalgamated with Thomas Quinn. He’s been extensively involved with PAYE, VAT, accounts preparation and general client matters over the years, and now visits clients as required and handles office admin.
Maria joined the Thomas Quinn ranks in May 2017. She’s responsible for bookkeeping and the preparation of VAT returns, plus she’s a Xero-certified adviser. She’s also studying with the Association of Accounting Technicians.
Laura is the newest member of our team having joined in June 2017. She is a chartered certified accountant and chartered tax adviser, which means she can analyse the full financial picture of a business and its owners, to give them the best tax advice possible. She’s particularly interested in the taxation of individuals, but can actually help with any tax question you care to throw at her.
